Choose by the actual configuration and what you carry or tow. The model badge alone cannot tell you whether a completed build is right for your load.
Start with your use case
What will you tow? Are you carrying a camper or a permanent body? How much of your driving is on-road? Those answers should lead the platform decision.
Compare the actual configurations
The model name alone does not establish the capacity of a completed build. Cab, wheelbase, chassis configuration, equipment and the upfit all matter. Review the vehicle-specific ratings with Truman.
Bring the details that change the decision
For towing, bring the trailer specification and how you load it. For a camper, bring the camper specification and the equipment you plan to carry. If you already own the truck, share its VIN, cab and bed configuration and any existing modifications. This gives the build conversation a useful starting point.
Plan the complete build
We publish package guides for F-250/F-350 and F-450 pickups. For an F-550, ask us to review the platform and prepare a specific scope and quote.
Two completed Truman builds illustrate different specifications. These photographs are build references, not an F-450 versus F-550 model comparison.
Put the guide to work.
Compare the equipment and upfit pricing, then explore the trucks that show it in practice.
